Everton want to make several signings this summer – and the club could be set to make a decent sale of one fringe player.

Everton’s end to the season left fans extremely disappointed.

And so, those fans are now expecting a big response, and plenty of targets have already been shared by various publications.

If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰

But there are also likely to be a few outgoings.

And one man who is expected to depart is Nathan Patterson.

Despite being a natural right-back, the Scot barely played last season with Jake O’Brien preferred ahead of him.

So him staying is unlikely – but Everton could be set to make a decent bit of money on him following a new update.

Interest already growing in Nathan Patterson

Patterson almost left Everton in January, with reports suggesting there was interest from Italy.

But in the end he stayed put – and one wonders what he really thought about that decision, considering he barely played.

He was clearly unfancied by David Moyes, who persisted with O’Brien at right-back even when he was struggling. That felt telling for Patterson.

Everything points to a summer exit, and as per the Liverpool Echo, the full-back is already attracting attention from top-flight clubs across ‘several’ leagues.

If the plan is indeed to sell Patterson, then this is good news.

Because ultimately, it increases the chances of a bidding war breaking out.

Everton paid about £16 million to sign Patterson initially, so there is little chance of making that kind of money back.

But certainly, multiple top-flight clubs showing interest could see Everton make a respectable sale here.

And Toffees officials could yet see their player increase his valuation at the World Cup.

Which Everton player are you expecting to have the best World Cup? 🏆

Patterson didn’t start Scotland’s opener against Haiti. But he came on for the last 20 minutes or so, and he could well start their next game against Morocco on Friday.

Hopefully, Everton will use the money obtained from Patterson’s sale wisely, because this has been a problem position for some time now.

There have been links to the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Georgios Vagiannidis, but Everton could do with making a top quality signing who can provide offensive threat as well as be solid defensively.
