Arsenal’s Ben White has been linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and a move for Nottingham Forest’s Neco Williams has also been mooted recently.

Now, there is a fresh report emerging about a Spaniard who is set to become a free agent.

Everton make contact to sign Oscar Mingueza

According to TEAMtalk, Everton are in talks with Oscar Mingueza’s representatives.

The Celta Vigo right-back is out of contract at the end of June, so David Moyes’ chiefs are making checks on whether he’d be open to making a switch to Merseyside.

It’s understood that Toffees scouts have watched Mingueza on multiple occasions this season, as he’s made 46 appearances for the Spanish outfit.

What would you say to Angus Kinnear after THAT loss to Sunderland? 😤

Something has to change… 😭

The former Barcelona defender has registered an impressive seven goal involvements from right-back, so he’d certainly be an upgrade on Jake O’Brien from an attacking perspective.

Mingueza’s versatility is an attractive trait, as he can operate as a left-back, central defender and as a number six.

There is a chance that the 27-year-old is called up to the Spanish national team for the World Cup, so Everton should try to accelerate this deal before then.

Otherwise, they risk missing out on his signature to bigger clubs, should he excel in America.
