Dominic Calvert-Lewin left Everton upon the expiry of his contract in the summer transfer window.
David Moyes wanted Calvert-Lewin to sign a new deal and extend his stay at Everton, but he decided to leave for new pastures.
Calvert-Lewin opted to join Leeds United after their promotion from the Championship, and he reportedly turned down Champions League clubs in the process.
What is your prediction for Man United vs Everton?
The 28-year-old, who penned a three-year deal with the Whites, has already racked up 11 appearances this season.
Here’s what Leeds fans had to say about Calvert-Lewin’s display against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Leeds United fans accept Dominic Calvert-Lewin isn’t good enough
Leeds, who have now lost five in six games, actually benched Calvert-Lewin against Aston Villa yesterday.
The former Toffees centre-forward came on for the final 20 minutes, and it’s fair to say Leeds fans weren’t happy with his performance.
@SteveinLC posted: “Can Calvert-Lewin just stay on the bench? He’s done more harm, than good.”
“Calvert-Lewin is on 120 f—— grand a week, he’s not prem worthy and never has been,” @Firposzn said.
“I never understood signing DCL when Paddy (Bamford) was still under contract. DCL proved yesterday he can miss sitters just as good as Bamford has done in the past. Seems DCL is NOT a natural goal scorer. At least Piroe knows where the goal is,” @johnbrowell explained.
@LeeScott321 added: “DCL’s all round game may be better but I’d rather have Nmecha who can actually put the ball in the net & be in the right place at the right time. But either way we have gone into the prem with 2 strikers on a free & relying on them to score the goals to keep us up.”
Dominic Calvert-Lewin made a mistake leaving Everton
Calvert-Lewin has scored just one goal in 11 games for Leeds, with that coming away at Wolves, who are sitting rock bottom on two points.
In hindsight, he will likely regret snubbing Everton’s contract offer, as it looks as though Leeds could be heading for the Championship.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 16 | 12 | 3 | 3 | 6 | 13 | 20 | -7 | 12 | |
| 17 | 12 | 3 | 2 | 7 | 15 | 25 | -10 | 11 | |
| 18 | 12 | 3 | 2 | 7 | 11 | 22 | -11 | 11 | |

| 20 | 12 | 0 | 2 | 10 | 7 | 27 | -20 | 2 |
Calvert-Lewin’s side have now dropped into the relegation zone and have a terrible run of fixtures on the horizon.
Although, Calvert-Lewin did admit he’s enjoying life at Leeds and felt he needed to change his environment.
“Absolutely, yeah. Yeah, it’s been a breath of fresh air to come into a new environment. I think, you know, nine years is a long time to be anywhere.
“And I think I got to a point where I was just craving a new challenge and a fresh environment and absolutely, yeah, happy to be here.”
