Everton are keen on signing a centre-forward this month and have been exploring a number of options.
Ivan Toney has been linked to Everton for several weeks, but the finances attached to the deal could prove to be a stumbling block.
Wolves’ teenage striker Mateus Mane has also emerged as a target for David Moyes, and so too has his teammate Jorgen Strand Larsen.
How impressed were you with Mateus Mane on Wednesday night for Wolves? 👏
He's looked brilliant in recent weeks for Rob Edwards.
But, it now looks as though Everton are making concrete moves to sign a different striker who Moyes has previously admitted he’s a big fan of.

David Moyes has been a big admirer of Youssef En-Nesyri for years
Everton are now advancing in talks to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Fenerbahce and have submitted an offer for the towering centre-forward.
The Toffees are reportedly offering an initial loan deal with an option to buy in the summer worth in the region of £17m.
It’s hardly a surprise that Everton are keen on signing En-Nesyri, as Moyes has been interested in signing him dating back to his West Ham United tenure.
How big of a risk is this for Everton? 😫
Scoring goals in Turkey is completely different to the Premier League…
Speaking back in December 2022, when Morocco were flying at the Qatar World Cup, the Scotsman labelled him an ‘incredible’ runner.
“In Youssef En-Nesyri, they (Morocco) have a centre forward who is an incredibly good runner and gives them an outlet.”
Clearly, Moyes has kept tabs on him since the World Cup, and now there is a good opportunity to finally land his signature for Everton.
Youssef En-Nesyri would help Thierno Barry’s development
The potential En-Nesyri signing has plenty of positives, as he’s a proven goalscorer at the very highest level.
The former Sevilla striker has scored 69 goals in La Liga and has netted 22 times in the Champions League and Europa League.
En-Nesyri’s pedigree far outweighs the current options in Thierno Barry and Beto, so on paper, he’d certainly be an upgrade.
The 28-year-old would be a brilliant figure to learn from for Barry, who the club still see as having a big future on Merseyside.
Barry is viewed as a project striker by Everton chiefs, so they expect it to take some time before he starts to fulfil his potential.
If Everton do manage to sign En-Nesyri on a loan with an option to buy, there’s no risk attached to the deal at all.
