Thierno Barry has endured a tough debut season.
There was great fanfare when Everton shelled out £30m on the signature of Thierno Barry from Villarreal last summer.
However, it has not been the year many expected, as Barry has really struggled to adjust to the division, netting just six league goals.
Where does Thierno Barry go from here? This Everton fan has had ENOUGH! 😡
Second week in a row fans have been left furious
Many Toffees fans want Barry sold in the summer, but David Moyes has just come out in defence of his centre-forward.
The young Frenchman will certainly be grateful.

David Moyes defends Everton striker Thierno Barry
Speaking ahead of the Manchester City game this season, Moyes publicly backed Barry, who has been receiving a lot of criticism in recent months.
“I am saying a general thing here, and it is that football supporters are not having much patience with many things,” the Everton manager stated.
“You might not get two or three years to become that player. There is a bigger emphasis on: We need things now, we are looking for that to happen quickly. It is not just here at Everton.
How do you feel about bringing Richarlison home in the summer? 🇧🇷
He absolutely loves the Blues! 🐦
“I think all clubs are the same. He is young as well, first year in the country, at the moment we have four games to go and if he scores a couple of goals you might say it has not been the worst return for a young centre-forward.”
Moyes added: “We took a chance on a young up and coming striker, we tried to get him in quickly and early to see how he was going.
“He has not done bad. I actually think he is improving as he is going along. The first season in the Premier League, it is not that easy.”
Despite Moyes’ defence of the young Toffees striker, it certainly won’t change his transfer plans this summer.
Moyes is still ‘fixated’ on signing a new centre-forward, with Liam Delap heavily linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
