Everton’s squad has drastically improved since the Friedkin Group have come in, as they’ve pumped over £100m into new signings.
The American investors have completely changed Everton’s fortunes, with the key decision to bring back David Moyes as the start of the year being the big catalyst.
The Scotsman has guided the Toffees away from relegation and has now established them as a top-half side.
Everton now have a squad much more worthy of representing the badge, with a number of top internationals across the board.
With that comes a bigger wage bill, and here are the top five best-paid players at the football club.

Everton’s highest paid players 2025/26
Jordan Pickford was Everton’s highest earner last season, but Jack Grealish has now taken the top spot after joining on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City.
Finish the sentence: Next season, Jack Grealish will be playing for…
Why would Grealish even want to return to Man City? 🤣
Grealish reportedly takes home a whopping £225,000-a-week, which is significantly higher than Pickford in second place.
Quite surprisingly, James Tarkowski comes in at number three and Idrissa Gana Gueye and Jarrad Branthwaite make up the rest of the top five.
Branthwaite penned a new deal in the summer to fend off interest from the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall just misses out in sixth, taking home around £90,000-a-week.
| # | Player | Weekly salary |
| 1 | Jack Grealish | £225,000 |
| 2 | Jordan Pickford | £150,000 |
| 3 | James Tarkowski | £120,000 |
| 4 | Idrissa Gana Gueye | £120,000 |
| 5 | Jarrad Branthwaite | £120,000 |
Iliman Ndiaye deserves a new deal
Well, the notable omission from that top five is Iliman Ndiaye, as he’s arguably become Everton’s best player this season.
Ndiaye is actually the Toffees’ most valuable player, with CIES Football Observatory pricing him at around £54m.
What concerns do you have about Iliman Ndiaye leaving Everton in the summer?😫
Surely Everton must hand him a new contract!
So, the Senegal international should certainly be rewarded with a bumper new contract to put him in line with the club’s highest earners.
If anything, he should become Everton’s best-paid player behind only Grealish, who will likely have to renegotiate his pay if he signs on a permanent deal from City.
The last thing Moyes needs is Ndiaye’s head being turned in January with a lucrative contract on offer from a big six side.
