Everton are looking at a number of strikers both domestically and on the continent.
David Moyes is in the market for a physically imposing number nine and Stuttgart’s 6ft 6 striker Nick Woltemade is an option for Everton.
6ft 4 centre-forward Thierno Barry is also on Moyes’ shortlist after his 19-goal season with Villarreal and Basel.
Newcastle United’s Callum Wilson has also been linked with the Toffees, although, that deal seems unlikely.
Now, another striker rumour has emerged, and Everton fans will already be very familiar with his name.

Everton fans react to Yuri Alberto transfer link
Everton have been linked with Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto for years, with Sean Dyche reportedly exploring a deal to sign him during the summer of 2023.
Now, it’s being reported that Moyes wants to sign Alberto, who looks set to leave the Brazilian outfit for around £17m.
Fans have been reacting to the rumour on X, and they’re saying the exact same thing.
@RiddledBlues2 said: “Hahahahahahaha I knew it! Every summer without fail. This player is linked.”
“This lad again. He’s gonna be our next Riquelme and Yarmolenko,” @stuescobar added.
@1986_legend commented: “Every window. Without fail.”
“We always get linked to him in every transfer window,” @Jacob5129 posted.
“Been linked in the past but can’t see there being anything in this now. Think our main targets are Barry & Woltemade,” @aide_dews explained.
@kiely_george isn’t even convinced by Alberto: “Not a Premier League player, he has no pace.”
Alberto’s career stats
Alberto, who celebrated his 24th birthday in March, has a prolific record in Brazilian football.
Alberto has netted 70 goals in 183 appearances for Corinthians, and at Internacional, he struck 31 times in 85 outings.
The one-cap Brazil international has also had spells at Santos and Zenit Saint Petersburg, amassing over a century of career goals.
- 308 appearances
- 110 goals
- 29 assists
Evidently, he knows where the back of the net is, but the Premier League is, of course, a much tougher league to play in.
