Everton face a summer transfer window where they will largely have their hands tied behind their backs.
The 777 Partners’ takeover of Everton has collapsed and the search for new ownership goes on, with Farhad Moshiri prepared for talks with other interested parties.
Due to the current financial predicament at Everton, we are likely to see Kevin Thelwell searching for astute signings this summer.
The Toffees are already looking to make the most of a clause in Jack Harrison’s contract to loan him from Leeds United for another year.
Now, another opportunity could emerge as Arsenal have released a player who’s reportedly on Everton’s radar.

Everton target Omari Benjamin released
Arsenal announced a list of 22 players who have been released from the north London club on Monday morning.
It included first-team stars such as Mohamed Elneny and Cedric Soares. But interestingly for Everton, striker Omari Benjamin has also left the club.
The 18-year-old spent a short spell at Finch Farm on trial back in March last year and he netted in a 2-1 win over Tottenham’s U21s side.
According to TEAMtalk’s Harry Watkinson, he remains a target for the Merseyside club.

Benjamin’s goalscoring record for Arsenal’s academy sides
In The Guardian’s Next Generation 2022, Benjamin was described as a player with ‘exceptional’ speed and close control, alongside ‘explosive finishing’.
During his three years at Arsenal, he netted 19 times in 45 appearances for the U18s and U21s sides. Benjamin has also scored four times in 14 appearances for Wales’ youth sides.
Given his previous trial at Goodison Park, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a deal for Benjamin explored over the coming weeks.
The youngster has previously been on the club’s radar and now he is available on a free transfer, this could be one to keep an eye on.
