Alan Myers has delivered a verdict on Beto potentially parting ways with Everton in the January transfer window.

Beto faces an uncertain future at Everton and is no longer a regular starter for David Moyes.

While the Guinea-Bissau international scored in the 4-2 loss against Brentford, he came off the bench and was not in the playing eleven.

If you could ask David Moyes one thing following the Brentford defeat, what would it be? 🤔

Alan Myers expects Everton to consider offers for Beto

In Alan Myers’ exclusive Q&A on Everton News, the former Sky Sports News editor fielded questions about all things Blues as the January transfer window has arrived.

He was asked about Beto’s future and whether Everton would consider parting ways with him in the coming weeks.

Myers claims that he expects the Toffees to consider offers for the 27-year-old, along with some other players, this month.

He believes that a replacement would need to be signed should Beto, a £25million+ signing, walk out through the doors at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

He wrote: “My guess would be that they would consider offers for him and a few others, but a replacement would be mandatory.”

What has David Moyes said about Beto?

Before scoring against Brentford, Beto had just one goal all season, and that is something that certainly did not sit well with Moyes.

He called for Thierno Barry and him to do better in the final third if Everton are to reach their targets for the season.

Moyes said: “But ultimately our centre-forwards have got to score goals because if you’re a number nine, having just one goal, and Beto’s only got one [league goal] too, that’s not good enough.”

This clearly is him sending a message to Beto that his output is not enough and that he wants him to perform better.

While his goal against Brentford would have delighted him, the Scotsman is unlikely to suddenly make a U-turn about the striker and his future at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

If the right opportunity arises to cash in on him, the Blues manager is unlikely to ask the hierarchy to veto it, and will hope that they can bring in a solid replacement.
