Everton are facing a summer of change as several first-teamers are out of contract.
Abdoulaye Doucoure has already confirmed he will leave Everton, along with the likes of Ashley Young, Armando Broja and Jesper Lindstrom.
David Moyes has admitted there will be a major squad overhaul, with the Friedkin Group ready to invest heavily in the Toffees.
Everton are lining up a move for Liam Delap, whilst there have been links to Championship promotion duo Maxime Esteve and Chris Rigg.
Now, there has been a fresh update on the Liam Delap deal, and it’s news that supporters will absolutely love to hear.

Everton ready to break the bank to beat rivals to Liam Delap signing
It’s been well documented that Delap has held talks with Everton and the word is that they were really positive.
The Ipswich Town frontman really liked the pitch, but as Fabrizio Romano explains, he is meeting with a number of other clubs to decide his future.
“All these clubs are in the mix, the player is meeting to understand the project, the vision, what could be the best solution for him,” Romano said.
“Also because his future is basically in his hands, it’s not in Ipswich’s hands. Ipswich have this release clause, £30m for Liam Delap, available this summer, the player will go and so the player is now assessing all these options.”
The good news, though, is that Romano added that the Toffees are willing to offer Delap a substantial contract, giving them a big upper hand in negotiations.
“Everton are prepared to make a big financial proposal to the player, then giving him maybe the possibility to leave the club in two or three years, something like that.”
Everton appear really well placed to sign Delap
Everton appear to be in a really strong position to sign Delap this summer, with chiefs even willing to agree on his sale in a couple of years’ time.
That’s what Borussia Dortmund infamously did with Erling Haaland when they were able to beat Manchester United to his signature in December 2019.
Dortmund inserted a lofty but reasonable release clause in his contract that allowed him to join Manchester City two-and-a-half years later.
The Toffees certainly won’t want to be a stepping stone, but in this case, with so many top clubs interested, it makes sense and will only benefit them.
A telling couple of weeks await, with Delap expected to make his decision before the under-21s Euros, which starts on the 11th of June.
