There is a pressing need to get more signings through the door at Everton as the US pre-season tour is rapidly approaching.

David Moyes will want the majority of his new signings to be part of his squad for the trip to the US on July 26th.

Everton are eyeing Juventus’ Douglas Luiz, who is expected to leave the Italian giants for around £34m, just a year after joining from Aston Villa.

RC Lens midfielder Neil El Aynaoui is also emerging as a target for Moyes, and the club did present him with their project over the weekend.

Fabrizio Romano has now shared an update on another Everton target, but it’s not good news.

Fabrizio Romano shares Omari Hutchinson update

Everton are interested in signing Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town after his impressive season in the Premier League despite suffering relegation.

Hutchinson, who is valued at around £30m, registered five goal involvements, however, the data suggests he was worth a lot more than his two assists.

According to FotMob, the 21-year-old created a whopping 31 chances, so perhaps in a better team, his numbers would be a lot more impressive.

Anyhow, it looks like Everton are on their heels once again, as Fabrizio Romano explains that Brentford have him on their shortlist to replace Bryan Mbeumo if his move to Manchester United goes through.

Romano makes no mention of Everton, which appears to indicate that they’re now looking elsewhere, although, their other rumour targeted Johan Bakayoko is close to joining Bayer Leverkusen.

Everton could turn to Tom Fellows

West Bromwich Albion’s right winger Tom Fellows is believed to be of interest to Moyes, who almost signed him in January.

The England under-21 international was the joint-top assister in the Championship last term, laying on a whopping 14 goals.

It was reported that Everton would accelerate a deal to sign Fellows once the Euros had finished, so perhaps that deal is being worked on privately.

Albion are believed to be demanding around £10m to sanction his sale, so it’s certainly a doable deal.
