Everton could do with a considerable amount of work being done in the transfer market over the next few days.
Kevin Thelwell only has until the end of play on Friday to finalise any remaining deals before the summer window shuts until January.
And if Everton‘s opening two games are anything to go by, Sean Dyche will be hoping for a lot of work to be done away from the pitch.
Saturday saw the Toffees put to the sword once again with Tottenham Hotspur exposing the frailties of this Everton side.
Thelwell has been able to provide Dyche with five new signings, but the Everton boss continues to keep the likes of Jake O’Brien on the bench with Michael Keane starting.
The evidence on the pitch has been damning and Fabrizio Romano has now just shared an update on Everton’s pursuit of Kieran Trippier.

Fabrizio Romano shares likelihood of Kieran Trippier joining Everton
Everton are believed to be showing an interest in Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier with just days remaining in the window
With Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson both sidelined through injury, Everton’s options have been left extremely short at right-back.
The suspension for Ashley Young has not helped the matter with Everton now in need of a new right-back over the coming days.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Romano has now claimed it is 50/50 as to whether Trippier will leave Newcastle before Friday’s deadline.
“For Tripper, there is a possibility to leave, but it’s not guaranteed yet. I would say in this case it’s a 50/50 situation,” he said.
“It’s true that Everton are one of the clubs interested, but at the moment, they still don’t have any kind of agreement or anything advanced for Trippier.”
“There could be other clubs, and I think the possibility for Trippier to leave is not guaranteed, but concrete.”
What Eddie Howe has said about Kieran Trippier’s Newcastle future
It has been a tricky start to the season for Trippier who has found himself even playing in Newcastle’s U21s side recently.
The speculation is ringing around on Tyneside with Trippier’s future uncertain as Tino Livramento started their season opener against Southampton.
Livramento retained his spot on Sunday against Bournemouth with Trippier coming off the bench for the final 30 minutes.
“Kieran is just freshly back from the Euros and has had limited training,” he told Sky Sports before the game.
“Tino Livramento had pre-season and we defended well last week. Kieran is a massive part of our future.”
