Everton have a really big decision to make on Jack Grealish over these next few months.
Jack Grealish is on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City, so Everton will have to decide whether to sign him on a permanent deal.
Fabrizio Romano understands that the Toffees have a good chance of signing Grealish for less than his £50m buy option.
Would you even pay £30m for Jack Grealish? 🫣
But, there’s been no reported talks with Man City up to now, so Grealish must still prove his worth for the remainder of the campaign.
With that said, here’s why Everton should avoid signing Grealish permanently and instead turn their attention to another Premier League winger.

Everton should try to sign Brentford’s Kevin Schade
Signing Grealish on a permanent deal would be a big risk, as it could cost up to £76m to keep him for the next four years based on the transfer fee and wages attached to the deal.
Plus, Grealish isn’t getting any younger, as he turned 30 in September, so the Toffees should allow him to return to Man City.
Brentford’s jet-heeled wide player Kevin Schade would be a much better option, as he’s much more suited to Moyes’ system.
Would Kevin Schade be a better signing than Jack Grealish?
Schade is excellent at attacking space and is a more potent finisher, so there would be less reliance on the strikers to deliver.
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Brentford value the 24-year-old between £43-52m.
Schade’s wages would also be significantly cheaper than Grealish, so it’s actually a more feasible deal to do for the Friedkin Group.
Kevin Schade plays just like Jarrod Bowen
According to FBref data, Schade is of a very similar profile to West Ham United wide player Jarrod Bowen.
Both players thrive off attacking space from wide areas and scoring goals, more so than creating chances for others.
Of course, Bowen had a brilliant record under Moyes, so perhaps that suggests that Schade would have great success with the Scotsman, too.
The only potential stumbling block is whether Everton can fend off competition for the five-cap Germany international.
It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur are showing an interest, with his former manager Thomas Frank leading the charge.
