Everton have had nine different managers over the last decade.
Farhad Moshiri’s reign saw a lot of change, as the former Everton owner didn’t seem to have any joined-up thinking.
Many of his managers didn’t last very long, and that led to one notable sacking that came far too early in hindsight.
Moyes outers… is there anything he can do to change your mind? 🤔
That’s reflected by the fact that he’s now gone on to become an excellent boss elsewhere, and he’s actually about to join a European giant.

Former Everton boss Marco Silva agrees to join Benfica
Marco Silva has established himself as one of the best operators in the Premier League since being sacked by Everton in December 2019.
Silva has gained promotion from the Championship with Fulham and turned them into a consistent mid-table side, even challenging for Europe.
That’s led to the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea showing a strong interest in Silva at different stages.
Manchester United have also been linked with the former Toffees boss previously, but now he’s set to join two-time European champions Benfica.
What would you say to Angus Kinnear after THAT loss to Sunderland? 😤
Something has to change… 😭
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Benfica have agreed a deal with Silva and are ready to announce his appointment in the coming days.
Tavolieri wrote on X: “Marco Silva is set to become the new head coach of SL Benfica!
“The Portuguese club has reached an agreement with the Fulham FC manager, who had prioritised a return to his home country.
“Official announcement is expected in the coming days.”
Jose Mourinho is leaving Benfica to join Real Madrid, so they’ve moved quickly to get a deal done with the departing Fulham boss.
