Everton are expected to be busy in the final stages of the January transfer window as more market opportunities emerge.
The Toffees have been linked to Wilson Isidor over the last 24 hours, although there is no active pursuit for the Sunderland striker at this stage.
Romelu Lukaku has also been mooted for a sensational return to Everton, although the finances attached to that deal may prove difficult.
If YOU were in charge, would you bring Lukaku back to Everton? 🤔
He only has 18 months left on his contract at Napoli… 👀
Now, there is another pretty incredible transfer rumour emerging out of Finch Farm as Everton hold talks to sign N’Golo Kante.

Carlo Ancelotti and Gary Lineker love Everton target N’Golo Kante
Everton are exploring a deal to sign Kante from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad this January transfer window.
The Frenchman has six months left on his contract and the Toffees are reportedly ready to pay the fee to land his signature.
N’Golo Kante to Everton, YES or NO? 😮
Speaking back in 2018, ahead of France’s World Cup final win against Croatia, Gary Lineker labelled the Everton target the ‘best player’ he’s ever seen in the defensive midfield position.
“I’m a big fan. In his position, he’s the best player I’ve ever seen,” Lineker explained.
“He has an incredible reading of the game. He intercepts balls that are impossible. He runs everywhere. He’s a real thief.
“The way he takes the ball from the feet of his opponents, without them appearing to notice, is incredible. And then he uses the ball quickly and well.
“He’s not only essential for the balance of the team, but he helps his team-mates. Would Pogba be the same without N’Golo beside him? Would the central defenders, Samuel Umtiti and Raphael Varane would not have the same assurance if N’Golo was not in front of them?”
Former Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti is also a huge admirer of Kante, as his Real Madrid side struggled to contain him in 2023.
“I think we suffered from Kante’s positioning, when he was centre-right. Camavinga was used to putting pressure on Reece James and it was difficult to control the position of Kante.
“In the second half, I changed the position of Valverde by putting him on the left to control the position and we were much better there.
“In the first half, Modrić went to stay with Enzo and that position was not covered properly and Camavinga suffered two against one. We conceded six crosses from that side in the first half. The second half was much better.”
Do Everton need N’Golo Kante?
Well, considering Everton already have a ball-winner in Idrissa Gana Gueye, the Kante links do seem a little strange.
The Frenchman turns 35 in March and would join on substantial wages, perhaps the biggest at the club, along with Jack Grealish.
Who would be your dream Everton signing this month? 👀
So, unless Moyes is planning for Gueye to leave in the summer, and Kante to become the veteran midfielder for a couple of years, it doesn’t make much sense.
Harrison Armstrong is considered the future by many around Finch Farm and would seem a more suitable successor to Gueye.
