Everton are making concrete moves to sign a striker for David Moyes this January transfer window.
David Moyes is ‘fixated’ on bringing in a centre-forward this winter, with the Scotsman keen to provide more support to Thierno Barry.
If Everton do manage to recruit a number nine, Beto will likely be allowed to leave, with Fenerbahce and Napoli linked.
If YOU were in charge, would you bring Lukaku back to Everton? 🤔
He only has 18 months left on his contract at Napoli… 👀
Callum Wilson was tipped to join the Toffees, but West Ham are now expected to keep him at the club until the end of the season.
Youssef En-Nesyri was also on Moyes’ radar until it came to light that the Morocco international had reservations about living in England.
Now, there is a fresh report emerging linking Everton to a Premier League striker.
Everton make informal enquiry for Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor
According to The Mirror, Everton are now considering a move to sign Sunderland centre-forward Wilson Isidor.
The report claims that Toffees chiefs have made an ‘informal enquiry’ about Isidor and have learned that a deal would cost in the region of £25m.
Would you back a move for Wilson Isidor ? 🎯
It’s understood that Moyes is personally a huge admirer of the 25-year-old, who has scored four Premier League goals this term.
The former French youth international was an unused substitute for Sunderland in their last game, with Regis Le Bris picking Brian Brobbey ahead of him.
Wilson Isidor’s goalscoring record
Isidor netted 12 goals in the Championship last term, helping Sunderland gain promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
That followed a really poor season in Russia with Lokomotiv Moscow, so the potential signing does seem like a big risk from an Everton perspective.
| Season | Team | Goals (all competitions) |
| 2025/26 | Sunderland | 4 |
| 2024/25 | Sunderland & Lokomotiv Moscow | 15 |
| 2023/24 | Lokomotiv Moscow | 4 |
| 2022/23 | Lokomotiv Moscow | 10 |
| 2021/22 | Lokomotiv Moscow | 7 |
There’s little data to suggest that Isidor will be a consistent goalscorer at the top level, so surely he’d only join as back-up to Barry.
Everton are weighing up a move for Troy Parrott, so there are plenty of options on the table for the Merseysiders.
