August is already presenting a month of excitement for Everton as The Friedkin Group eye another exciting talent.
David Moyes is now putting the pieces together in his Everton squad.
The season is beginning to look like the project that was detailed, as ambition is being shown greatly.
Almost £100 million has been spent in this window, and there is plenty more still to be done.
Moyes wants players with character, and it seems as though Everton could be getting this greatly if they sign someone Gary Lineker rates highly.

Gary Lineker said Everton target Abdul Fatawu resembles Bukayo Saka
A new name that has appeared quickly on the radar for Moyes is Leicester City star Abdul Fatawu.
The Ghanaian is an exciting candidate as Fatawu could join Everton with another winger.
After shining for the Foxes, Lineker has previously put a lot of praise on the 21-year-old, as he declared his admiration for Fatawu in October 2024.
“He’ll beat people, he’s quick, he’ll take people on, he’ll cut inside and bend one in the top corner, he’ll go down the outside and cross the ball. He’s a little like (Bukayo) Saka in that way,” Lineker said.
“I’m not going to say he’s as good as Saka – not yet – but he’s only 19. He’s got an incredible work ethic, got a lovely personality. He’s a real character and everyone at Leicester knows that.”
The former Everton striker is a big fan, and to compare the Leicester winger to someone like Saka exemplifies why the Toffees want him.
Everton fans are keen for Fatawu to join, as Moyes’ attack could begin to look frightening for opposition teams.

Abdul Fatawu adds threat on both wings for Everton alongside Iliman Ndiaye
What is seriously lacking in the Toffees’ squad is an out-and-out right-winger, and the Ghanaian looks perfect.
After Jack Grealish’s signing, although he’s expected to play in the number ten, he is of course, a traditional left-winger, which adds to more competition with Iliman Ndiaye.
But Ndiaye will likely retain his place on the left, and with Fatawu on the right, it makes for a dangerous combo.
| Statistics | Iliman Ndiaye 24/25 | Abdul Fatawu 23/24 |
| Goal involvements | 9 (9G+0A) | 19 (6G+13A) |
| Dribble success % | 51.5% | 53.9% |
| Fouls won | 52 | 45 |
| Duels won per 90 | 6.60 | 7.77 |
| Chances created | 18 | 66 |
Combining pace, skill, and finishing, Moyes is building an attack fit for any team, as surely more goals will fly in this season.
Ndiaye has shown his ‘fantastic’ ability, and adding the Leicester winger makes Everton have an elite attack moving forward, as they will only improve each other from both flanks.
