Everton academy prospect Kean Wren has revealed he will be leaving Everton.
The 18-year-old winger has been a regular feature in Keith Southern’s U18 side at Finch Farm this season.
However, it appears as if he has not been offered a new deal on Merseyside, with the forward taking to his social media channels to share the news.
Everton are putting an emphasis on bridging the gap between the academy and the senior side, with this news seeing a talented prospect head elsewhere.
For the last time this season, let us know your prediction ahead of Sunday’s game…
Could Everton really send Spurs down? 😳
Although there is no word where Wren will be headed next, Everton will be losing a player who has spent years on Merseyside.

Kean Wren shares Everton departure message on social media
Wren has been a part of the Everton academy set-up for some time now, with his Instagram post showing him to have signed a contract when Roberto Martinez was still the first-team manager.
There does not appear to be any official confirmation from the club just yet.
“So grateful for my time spent at Everton football club. A club what gave me many experience, lesson, memories and moments that will stay with me,” he said.
Where will Everton be in the table by 6pm on Sunday afternoon? 🥲
The Blues could finish as low as 14th… 😫
“Opportunities that helped me as a person both on the pitch and off the pitch. An amazing season that I feel truly happy to been a part of.
“Thankful for every teammate, coach and staff member who have been a part in the journey💙.
Looking forward for the next part of my journey…”
Wren enjoyed a productive season in the U18 Premier League, with a return of five goals and four assists in his 21 appearances.
Southern started Wren in 16 of those league games, but he will not be scoring any more for the Young Blues.
The news has circulated among some of the Everton players, with Harrison Armstrong sharing his best wishes for the youngster.
“Good luck my mate,” replied Armstrong, with a number of Wren’s U18 teammates sharing their regards.
Moyes wants more academy players impacting the senior side, but there is clearly still a significant gap between the youth sides and the first team.
