Everton fans have shared their opinions after a new report linked them with a player who is desperate to move to the Premier League.

The transfer window has been open for less than a week, but Everton have been linked with several players.

After overcoming their PSR troubles, The Friedkin Group will back Everton this summer and give David Moyes the resources he needs to improve his starting XI.

The Toffees are ready to say goodbye to several players this summer, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is out of contract this summer. His exit means Moyes must sign a new striker to score goals and improve an area he realises is a problem.

With the attack one of Moyes’ transfer priorities, Everton fans have shared their views on a recent transfer link for a Serie A star who is desperate to play in the Premier League.

After spending the season on loan at Fiorentina, striker Albert Gudmundsson has caught Everton’s eye. The 27-year-old was able to find the back of the net in a season disrupted by injury, scoring six league goals in 24 appearances.

In a recent interview, Gudmundsson revealed he wants to play in the Premier League, which can only mean good news for the Toffees.

With the news that Everton are tracking Gudmundsson, fans have taken to social media platform X to share their views on the links.

“Hear me out, Him and Ndiaye upfront gonna make some big problems for EPL defenders.” said one fan, while another said: “YES PLEASE.”

This fan shared his desire to see him play for Everton, saying: “Lads got it imo. Would love to see him in a blue shirt.”

“I’ve got him shortlisted on my career mode, good enough for me that.” said this excited Everton fan.

This Everton referred to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s possible exit, saying: “He will clearly take over from Dominic Calvert-Lewin!”

Finally, this Everton fan said: “Not a bad player for the right price! Could see a great partnership with him and Beto up front with Ndiaye playing through.”

Albert Gudmundsson will be an alternative to Liam Delap at Everton

Despite having talks with Moyes, Liam Delap opted to sign for Chelsea over Everton this summer. The striker was available for just £30m, a bargain fee for an Englishman with 12 Premier League goals to his name.

Delap was impressed by Chelsea’s proposal and rejected several clubs, including Everton, to join the East London club where he will play Champions League football.

It is now down to Moyes to work fast and bring in another striker for the move into the Hill Dickinson Stadium next season, who will score goals and get the fans off their seats. The Scot clearly thinks Gudmundsson fits that bill alongside many other fans.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin set to leave Everton, the need for a new striker is high as they will be down to the bare bones once he goes.
