Everton need to add some goals to their attack over the summer transfer window.

David Moyes has had plenty of success since returning to Merseyside, but finding a reliable goalscorer is something that has eluded him.

Premier League safety has been secured for a few weeks now and Everton have come out the other end of their daunting April fixtures.

However, there are some issues up front with Beto’s Everton form falling off dramatically as he searches for his first goal since February.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has returned from injury, but the striker is unlikely to be anywhere near match fitness with just four games to go.

The summer window opens in a matter of weeks and the Toffees are going to have to add some firepower to their front line.

Everton eye summer move for Albert Gudmundsson

The Friedkins have completed their 100-day assessment of the club and Everton are prioritising signing a striker this summer.

But there is a need for goals to be added to the general attacking areas of Everton’s side.

According to GiveMeSport, Everton have identified Albert Gudmundsson as a player of interest for the upcoming transfer market.

The Iceland international is currently playing his football on loan with Fiorentina from Genoa.

Gudmundsson has enjoyed a solid campaign in Serie A whilst out on loan following the huge interest. in him last summer.

But he is just one of the names on Everton’s list of potential summer targets.

Everton are eyeing a huge move for Liam Delap who would offer something completely different with Premier League experience already under his belt.

Either way, it is apparent the Blues are mapping out their options for the window opening in June.

Albert Gudmundsson likened to Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah

Gudmundsson has returned eight goals in his limited game time for Fiorentina this season, but he netted double that last season.

The forward has suffered from a hamstring issue which has hindered his time on the pitch.

Gudmundsson is set to return to Genoa this summer which will provide an intense race to potentially land him on a permanent deal.

Speaking to the Italian media previously, his Genoa teammate Kevin Strootman has likened him to Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

“He reminds me of Salah when he was at Roma, in that every now and then he disappears. Much like Salah then, he would have four or five chances per match and only score at most one,” he said.

“They used to say that if Salah was more clinical, he would be playing for Liverpool, and that is exactly what happened. All joking aside, Gudmundsson is a devastating player and also an exemplary professional.”
