Everton fans came away from Goodison Park even more frustrated after a 0-0 draw against Brentford, and Ashley Young’s comments after the game didn’t make them feel any better.
Ashley Young has been the go-to man at right-back for Everton this season, and to be fair to him he’s done rather well for the most part.
Sean Dyche hailed Young as ‘excellent’ against Southampton, and he even popped up with the assist for Beto’s equaliser against Fulham.
Despite being one of the older players in the squad, it doesn’t look like he’s deteriorating with age and deservedly owns the right-back spot at Goodison.
However, he’s upset fans with his comments after the Brentford draw, as mentality questions are raised.

Everton fans haven’t taken a liking to the mentality of James Tarkowski already this season, as he seems to have taken up a similar approach to Dyche in interviews.
It’s this mentality that has been brought up after each of the last three disappointing results for Everton, and fans are starting to grow tired of it.
Ashley Young is the latest to take some stick for what he came out and said after the game.
“It’s one loss in eight. We’re getting the clean sheets. It’s now about getting on the scoresheet and winning games.”

“What a woeful mentality that is, so called leaders like Young and Tarkowski have been brain washed by this dog of a manager.”, @jablett1 blames Dyche for the mess.
