Everton striker Beto is being linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.
A fresh report by the Daily Mail has claimed that Nottingham Forest are weighing up a bid to sign Beto this summer.
Newly-appointed manager Oliver Glasner is keen to strengthen his striking ranks, and Beto is emerging as a top target.
The Everton centre-forward was in and out of David Moyes’ starting line-up last season but still managed to score nine Premier League goals.

Many feel it should be Thierno Barry who leaves the club before Beto, whilst others are against the potential sale altogether.

- “He scored more than Barry last season; he’s the best we have! Don’t consider selling him before we sign another striker. And even then, sell Barry instead!”

One fan made an interesting point there about a potential swap deal involving Beto and Chris Wood.
Perhaps that could work for both parties, as Glasner clearly wants a more pacey outlet up front for his system.

Everton already have that with Barry, so Wood’s addition would add a different style to the strikeforce.
All of this very much feels secondary though. It’s imperative that the club go out and sign a prolific centre-forward to become the first choice.
That should be The Friedkin Group’s number one priority before they entertain any talk of a Beto sale.
The American investors wanted £17m to sanction Beto’s sale in January, so they’ll likely be looking for a similar fee six months on.
