Everton take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this Saturday.

Centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite and midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye are both set to be available for the Toffees this Saturday.

This comes after the duo were forced to serve a one-game suspension, as both picked up yellow cards against Chelsea to bring their tally in the league this season to five.

Fortunately, their teammates helped them ease to a 2-0 away win at Burnley in their absence, and they are now ready for a Premier League return after both started in their EFL Cup exit on Tuesday.

How good is Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite?

Whilst both Branthwaite and Gueye have played their part in Everton’s fine run of form of late, it is the former who will mark the outstanding returnee, given his importance to the squad and its rock-solid identity.

Under Dyche, Everton have returned to their old ways, with a hard-working core providing the basis from which everything else occurs.

However, it is his backline which is truly starring at the moment, with the likes of Tarkowski and Vitaliy Mykolenko another couple of stars who have rightfully garnered praise this season.

And yet, at just 21 years old, it could be argued that Branthwaite has outperformed them both.

After all, his mature and magnificent showings at centre-back have been completely unexpected, posting 2.1 tackles, 5.1 clearances and 6.9 ball recoveries per game in the league, via Sofascore.

With his left-footedness only adding to the numerous assets which are helping him garner attention this season, the England U21 international could prove vital in claiming another huge victory to bring their winning run to five straight matches.
