Everton have a number of talented footballers in their squad, especially since outlaying over £100m on new signings last summer.

Jack Grealish has certainly made a big impression on his Everton teammates since joining on loan from Manchester City.

So too has Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, as Thierno Barry previously said: “The first time I met him in training, I saw the quality of him. I think he can give me (good passes) this season.”

Harrison Armstrong has also impressed, but Idrissa Gana Gueye says there is one player in particular who just oozes quality in training.

Idrissa Gana Gueye in awe of Iliman Ndiaye in Everton training

Idrissa Gueye spoke to Everton’s website whilst away at the African Cup of Nations with Senegal and spoke about his compatriot and Toffees teammate Iliman Ndiaye.

Gueye explained that you can see how much quality Ndiaye has in training and thinks he can still get even better.

“I always knew he would be successful here at Everton and, honestly, I don’t think he’s shown his best yet,” the Everton midfielder said.

“I train with him every day, so I see his quality every day and I can see what he is capable of. He just needs to believe in himself, keep working hard and have high expectations of himself.

What concerns do you have about Iliman Ndiaye leaving Everton in the summer?😫

Surely Everton must hand him a new contract!

Gueye continued: “He has a combination I’ve never seen before. He’s a humble guy. A very, very good guy. He’s not shy – he likes to play and joke with everyone.

“Nobody ever has a problem with him because he is humble and always keeps working hard. You see in those videos even from when he was very young how hard he works and it’s because he always wants to be better.”

Iliman Ndiaye is Everton’s most valuable player

The CIES Football Observatory have released their latest market values and Ndiaye is once again the most valuable player at Everton.

The 25-year-old is worth between £50-58m, although if the Toffees were to sell him, they’d surely command a much larger fee than that.

Is Iliman Ndiaye Everton’s best player?

Gueye believes Ndiaye can win the Ballon d’Or one day, so for someone with that level of talent, he could be worth in excess of £70m.

Anyhow, the Friedkin Group certainly won’t want to sanction his sale any time soon, as Moyes looks to return the club to Europe.
