Thierry Henry was full of praise last night for Iliman Ndiaye, before Everton played against Manchester City.
Last night’s game was one that both sets of supporters won’t forget in a hurry, with drama and goals rife at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The game finished 3-3, with Jeremy Doku’s 97th-minute strike snatching a point for the visitors.
How do you even begin to explain that? 😫
Everton have conceded late on AGAIN… 😡
That goal may well ruin Everton’s European dream, but we’ll see if this result will light a fire beneath Everton for the final three games. Three wins could still make it possible.
Last night, Iliman Ndiaye had a game to forget in front of goal.
But the winger at least came in for some nice praise from Thierry Henry ahead of the match.

Thierry Henry impressed by Iliman Ndiaye as he praises underrated part of Everton star’s game

Ndiaye spurned a number of chances last night.
He had a glorious chance when Everton were 1-0 down as he went one-vs-one with Gianluigi Donnarumma, but produced a poor finish.
He also had one on his left foot from the edge of the box, but couldn’t generate enough power to worry the City goalkeeper.
He was a threat in the second-half, but ultimately it wasn’t really his night.
But he can at least take heart from the fact that Thierry Henry was very complimentary about him ahead of the game.

He said: “You would like to think if something special happens, it’s going to come from Ndiaye.
“I mean, sometimes maybe the assists and goals aren’t at the level that some people would like them to see.
“But what he does for this team, on and off the ball, the creativity, what he sees, the work-rate. Usually when something happens, it happens because he did something.
“Whether it’s low, middle, high. I really like him. And I know people will say the assists and the goals are maybe not at the level. But you know, sometimes assists and goals don’t always tell you how a player is.”

Everton must retain Ndiaye this summer, amid Henry praise
It was nice to hear arguably the greatest Premier League player ever piling the praise on Ndiaye before yesterday’s match.
It didn’t really happen for him against City, but there is no denying his talent.
But as Henry suggests, to only talk about Ndiaye’s talent is to do him a disservice – because the winger always puts a shift in for his team.
How likely do you think it is that Everton could lose Iliman Ndiaye this summer? 😬
Surely a player of his quality will want to showcase himself on the top stage 🤩
That work-rate is an underrated quality of his, and is one of numerous reasons why Everton cannot lose him this summer.
Manchester United have shown interest in Ndiaye already, as have a few other clubs.
If Everton are to continue on an upward trajectory, retaining their best players will be crucial – and Ndiaye is certainly one such player.
