Iliman Ndiaye ‘point of contention’ with contract offers as new valuation from Everton emerges

Everton fans want to see several incomings this summer, but equally they want the club to retain their best players – and Iliman Ndiaye falls into that category.

Everton had a really poor end to the 2025/26 season, during which Iliman Ndiaye came in for a fair bit of criticism.

The Senegal international featured heavily for Everton after coming back from AFCON, and potentially he wasn’t done any favours by David Moyes.

How likely do you think it is that Everton could lose Iliman Ndiaye this summer? 😬

Surely a player of his quality will want to showcase himself on the top stage 🤩

Ndiaye spurned several golden chances in the last few games, and just lacked his usual influence for Everton.

Over the last 24 hours, there has been some speculation on social media about Ndiaye and his future at Everton, with claims being made about him turning new contracts down.

And now, there has been an update about the winger.

The Athletic have reported that Ndiaye has indeed ‘rejected multiple new deals over the course of the season’.

The club had been keen to reward him for good form, but Ndiaye has not signed on the dotted line. Said contract offers stood to make him one of the highest earners at the club.

Interestingly, it’s reported that ‘a point of contention’ has been the addition of an exit clause that could be triggered as early as this summer.

The club are said to want to protect the value of the player, and be the ones to ‘dictate the timing or price of any potential future exit’.

The club’s preference is definitely to keep Ndiaye, who of course is such a game-changer for the Toffees in his day.

However, there is a suggestion that he could be ultimately sold if a fee somewhere in the region of what Barcelona have just paid Newcastle United for Anthony Gordon (€80 million) arrives.

Ndiaye has not actively pushed to leave Everton, and his relationship with Moyes is thought to remain good.

Everton should try to smash record sale if Ndiaye pushes to go

The news of Ndiaye rejecting several new contract offers from Everton is slightly worrying, but Everton can’t be blamed for not wanting to add an exit clause that would become active this summer.

It’s going to be very interesting to see what happens with him this summer, because it sounds like interest is already building.

The Anthony Gordon fee being used as a marker makes sense. But Ndiaye is actually a better player and should sell for more really.

Currently, Everton’s record sale is the £75 million received from Manchester United for Romelu Lukaku in 2017 and really, the club should be looking to smash that if Ndiaye ends up wanting to go.

Ideally he will stay though, and help Everton secure European football next season.
