Anthony Gordon won’t be too pleased that his Newcastle United side got outdone by Everton on Sunday.
Gordon won’t be too down by the result with Newcastle securing Champions League football, but the Toffees fanbase had the last laugh with the result.
Before the game, Eddie Howe admitted Gordon has struggled, maybe proving his Newcastle tenure could be coming to an end.
It’s unlikely Evertonians would welcome the winger back with open arms, as it seems like their relationship has been tarnished.
This comes after the 24-year-old ultimately ditched the club that built him up, and also because Gordon predicted Liverpool to win the league, but what he did on Sunday vs Everton certainly didn’t help matters.

Stephen Warnock baffled by what Anthony Gordon did in Newcastle vs Everton
The winger now has this reputation over his head, which he probably didn’t expect after being a success at Goodison Park.
But he doesn’t help himself, and after Gordon pushed hard for an Everton exit, fans haven’t given him forgiveness since.
The fanbase certainly won’t be forgiving him after what he did on Sunday, as the winger did a disgraceful dive which gave Newcastle a free kick.
Everton have since mocked Gordon’s antics, but Stephen Warnock was left in disbelief at the decision as he spoke to Sky Sports.
“It’s so clear and obvious that Gordon has dived,” Warnock said.
“It’s beyond me how the referee hasn’t seen that.
“We’ve got to try and eradicate it somehow, it’s got to be a yellow card.”

How Gordon performed against Everton sums up his season
It was a shocking call from referee Tony Harrington, who had to see that dive.
The fact Ashley Young was making such a meal out of his innocence in the foul sums up what was a poor move from the former Toffees winger.
Well, even though he committed these antics, it was Everton who got the last laugh with Gordon making little impact.

It’s been rough for Gordon whose dreadful goalscoring run for the Toon Army continues, with February being the last time he netted.
Everton fans dislike Gordon’s loyalty and if this form continues there is no doubt he’ll be on the move again.
