Everton star James Garner has made an exceptional start to the season.
James Garner has started all nine games this season in the Premier League and in the Carabao Cup, which shows how highly David Moyes rates him.
In fact, some Manchester United fans think they’ve made a mistake letting Garner leave, so clearly he’s in the form of his career.
The 24-year-old, who is a midfielder by trade, has excelled out of position as a left-back, and now he’s explained why he should be considered for England.

James Garner explains why he should be considered for England
It’s been reported that Thomas Tuchel is keeping tabs on Garner ahead of the World Cup in the US next year.
Speaking to Everton’s website, the former England youth international has suggested his versatility is a key reason why he should be right in the mix to get into Tuchel’s squad.
“Of course [getting into the England squad is a target],” Garner explained. “I think that’s every English boy’s dream to play for the national team.
“There is a lot of competition and I’m not naive to say I should be in the team but, at the same time, I do think I’ve had a good start to the season and, ultimately, that’s my goal for this season – to get there or thereabouts with the England squad.
“I think being able to play different positions definitely helps me. I am very versatile, I can play pretty much any position on the pitch. I think I’ve played every position apart from striker and centre-back for Everton!
“For me, it’s about playing well consistently, winning games and showing that I’m a winner and a good player.”
James Garner reflects on Everton’s start to the season
Garner has also been reflecting on Everton’s start to the season and believes people are underestimating their strong form.
“Ultimately, we’ve lost one in six in the league and I think some people are forgetting that,” the former England under-21 international said.
“We’ve had a few draws but, at the same time, we’re unbeaten at home and we’ve been playing some really good football and I think we’ve been a bit unlucky to not turn a couple of those draws into wins.
“We just need to keep playing the way we are and I think the results will keep coming.”
Europe is the goal for the Toffees this season, and at the moment, they occupy a spot (8th) that could realise those aspirations.
