Everton finished the 2025/26 Premier League season in 13th place.
For most of the campaign, it looked as though David Moyes’ side might finish inside the top seven and return to Europe.
However, Everton collapsed after the March international break, and it was ultimately a very disappointing season.
Moyes outers… is there anything he can do to change your mind? 🤔
Attention now turns towards the transfer market as Moyes wants the Friedkin Group to show ambition and back him.
Clearly, the Scotsman is desperate to have a more productive 2026/27, and now James Garner has just come out and outlined the club’s goals.
James Garner confident Everton will get into Europe next season
Speaking to Everton’s website, Garner has discussed his own personal goals and the ambitions of the club, too.
“My targets are exactly the same,” the 25-year-old stated.
“Individually, I want to keep my levels up and maintain my consistency. I was obviously delighted to make my senior England debut.
“Getting a taste of it for the first time was a dream come true for me and, while I was naturally disappointed not to be going to the World Cup, I’ll keep going and it’s only going to motivate me more.
“As for the team, our target is definitely to qualify for Europe. It was within our reach this season and we know we can be better next season and make it happen.”
Are there any players from the relegated clubs you want to see Everton go after this summer? 🤔
Wolves, Burnley and West Ham have all lost their Premier League status…
Garner also had a message for the fans: “Thanks again for all your support. Have a good summer and I’ll see you all next season. Up the Toffees!”
It seems as though Moyes, regardless of how popular he is among the fans, has the trust of the dressing room.
Garner sounds very confident that the club are on the right track, so let’s hope he’s right and that Europe can return for the first time since 2017.
