Everton drew 1-1 with Leeds United in a game of two halves at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
David Moyes’ side could not build on the win over Aston Villa, but showed good character to take a point after falling behind.
James Justin opened the scoring for Leeds, who dominated the first-half and made life very difficult for Everton with their wing-backs.
Everton fans, your immediate thoughts on tonight’s 1-1 with Leeds? 🤔
It was certainly a game of two halves…
But David Moyes changed the system at half-time to match Leeds, with Jarrad Branthwaite and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall both coming on.
That move from the manager worked, with Everton finding an equaliser through Thierno Barry.
It finished 1-1 in the end which was perhaps a fair result.
After the game, James Justin shared some praise for one Everton player in particular.

James Justin praises Everton midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall after Leeds draw

After the game, Leeds goalscorer Justin was interviewed on Sky Sports and spoke about the change in momentum in the game.
And he put it down to Everton’s half-time changes – and in particular Dewsbury-Hall, who is a player he knows well from their time at Leicester City together.
Everton fans, who was your standout performer in the 1-1 draw with Leeds? 🤔
He said (via Sky): “They brought on my mate, Kiernan.
“He was very good, and he was finding the spaces in the pockets. I thought they were occupying the 10 spots really well. He made a big difference. The centre-half as well.
“That’s the quality they have. That’s why they’re an established Premier League side.
Dewsbury-Hall’s return is great news for Everton
It wasn’t to be for Everton against Leeds, but at least the Toffees didn’t lose.
And it was great to see Dewsbury-Hall back in action – and his performance was definitely promising.

As Justin said, he found space in the pockets really well and had much more of an impact than young Harrison Armstrong, who unfortunately struggled to get into the game before he was taken off at half-time.
Hopefully it won’t take the Englishman too long to get his match sharpness up, and he can return to the level he was showing before his injury.
