Everton have been one of the busier sides in the Premier League this summer when it comes to signings.

David Moyes has admitted he would ideally prefer a quieter window, with the Toffees forced to replace a number of players whose contracts expired.

“I don’t think you [ideally] want to bring in as many players as we have done,” he said.

However, Moyes did admit that Everton could make some late signings before the window officially closes on Monday.

The work done this summer has been extremely positive for Everton, who have added some players of real quality to their squad.

Moyes has been excited by Everton’s signings, with the Toffees landing the in-demand Jack Grealish, who had strong interest from across Europe.

As the window is set to shut, Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane have both been left in total agreement after what they’ve noticed about Everton’s window.

Everton praised for their transfer business by Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane

Roy Keane has already backed Grealish to be a success at Everton, with the 29-year-old becoming the main man once again.

But there is a lot more to Everton’s summer than just the signing of the Manchester City forward.

Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Carragher and Keane both agreed they’ve liked what they’ve seen from Everton this summer.

“I think Everton’s business has been alright,” Carragher replied to Gary Neville, who asked if Everton could be dragged into a relegation scrap without further investment.

“Everton will be alright. You know, their goalkeeper, their centre-halves, Grealish will give them something different. Under David Moyes, they will be fine,” Keane added.

Despite this, Carragher expects Everton to lose against Wolves on Saturday in their away trip to Molineux.

Everton have enjoyed a solid week, with back-to-back victories under their belt, but a loss just before the international break would be a real frustration for Moyes.

Carragher left wowed by Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium

After losing against Leeds United in their season opener, Everton opened up the Hill Dickinson Stadium with a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Carragher was working for Sky Sports as co-commentator for the game on the docks, and he told Keane just how impressed he was with the new stadium.

“Brilliant. Fantastic. A bit of a nightmare getting in and out because there’s only one way to get in,” he said.

“The atmosphere was amazing,” Carragher added when Keane asked if the new stadium would benefit the Toffees.

It will only get better, as Everton are set to increase the Hill Dickinson Stadium capacity ahead of the 2028 Euros.
