David Moyes has provided an update on whether Everton will make more signings before Monday.

The clock is ticking on Everton to land any further additions in the summer transfer market.

Angus Kinnear has spearheaded the transfer push on Merseyside this summer, and the work done has been positive.

Moyes has been pleased with the signings of Jack Grealish and Tyler Dibling, but the 62-year-old will happily accept more additions.

A total of eight new signings have come through the doors at Finch Farm after Moyes laid down the gauntlet earlier in the summer to The Friedkin Group.

Speaking in the United States, Moyes demanded nine or 10 new signings at Everton this summer.

With just days to go in the window, the 62-year-old has provided the latest on where the Toffees stand in the market.

David Moyes admits more signings could arrive at Everton

Everton are eyeing another midfielder and defender before the window shuts on 1 September.

Arrivals and departures could well still be on the agenda, with Youssef Chermiti being linked with a move to Rangers on loan.

Speaking to the media from Finch Farm, Moyes has shared his latest understanding on whether he will receive more new players.

“Could do [sign more players], but I don’t want to raise all the expectations,” said Moyes.

“I’ve been saying all summer that we will be making signings, we will be looking to make signings, and we have done.

“Whether we get anything over the line before Monday night, I couldn’t be sure.”

Everton have shown an interest in Barcelona’s Hector Fort, but the right-back has decided he would like to join RCD Mallorca.

However, the final days of the window throw up unexpected opportunities that the likes of Kinnear will have to be on the ball to snap up.

Everton cannot resolve all their issues this summer

Although Moyes has been pleased with the work that has been done in the market, he is aware that not everything can be resolved in just one summer.

“I don’t think you [ideally] want to bring in as many players as we have done,” Moyes admitted.

“We always knew this was going to be a summer like that. We can’t fix everything in just one window. We can’t repair all the damage from past, not so much damage, but more so a lot of loans and players out of contract.”

A lot of new faces have landed on Merseyside, and it will take a lot of work to get those players to settle into their surroundings.

Jack Grealish has made a positive start at Everton; his experience could well provide more than just goals and assists.

However, Everton fans may have to be patient, with a big possibility that some areas will still need sorting when the window shuts until January.
