Jack Grealish will be hoping to prove a lot of people wrong at Everton, and Jamie Carragher has made an interesting verdict on his signing.
Grealish put pen to paper at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, as it could be the sign of a new start for the winger.
After a disappointing end to his Man City career, David Moyes could be the man to help the former Aston Villa star rediscover his form.
Wayne Rooney said Everton are ‘great’ for Grealish, as it seems the consensus is that he can start to play with more freedom.
He’s got a lot to prove, and Carragher might have hit the nail on the head with his claim about the new Everton arrival.

Jamie Carragher says Everton fans will be going to watch the games for Jack Grealish
It’s certainly a statement signing from The Friedkin Group, who will be hoping this is the club for him to produce his best football once again.
The Toffees manager is a big fan of the England international, as Moyes once called Grealish the Premier League’s ‘best’.
He’s got a long way to go in rediscovering what he’s been missing, but speaking to the Stick to Football podcast, Carragher has said something that makes perfect sense.
“When he got the ball at Man City, there’s still probably four other players in that team, you know ‘Jack pass it to him’,” Carragher said.
“Giving it to the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, but when he was at Aston Villa, it was like, ‘give Jack the ball’.
“At Everton, give him the ball. All the supporters will be going to watch Grealish, you want the Villa Grealish, not the Man City one.”
With the winger now becoming the star man in the Toffees’ squad, this has every chance to happen.
His £100 million price tag didn’t come from nowhere, and now is the time for Grealish to do what he does best.

Jamie Carragher once said Jack Grealish has a ‘swagger’ and now he can rediscover it at Everton
After his Villa spell, everything is pointing towards this loan move being a success for Moyes and co.
His ability to pick up the ball from a wide area and look dangerous is what he prided himself on, but Grealish can also play in Everton’s number ten.
It’s unknown what the Toffees manager’s exact plans are, but speaking in 2019 to Sky Sports, Carragher explained how the winger has something not even the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have.
“Very few players have got that swagger, ” he said. “It feels like when he gets the ball, the game in some ways stops, and people are waiting to see what he’s going to do.
“Defenders are scared to engage him and go to him; they’re waiting for a clever pass, a body movement.
“He’s different from a lot of the top players, he mentioned the Liverpool front three and playing in that position, but you think about City’s and Liverpool’s front three, it’s a lot about pace and getting in behind, but some of those players at those top clubs don’t have what he’s got. Actually running the game.”
Now is the time for Grealish to rekindle this ‘swagger’ he’s been missing, with the 29-year-old having a leading role in Moyes’ set-up.
Paul Merson sees Grealish’s move as ‘phenomenal’, and the platform is there; it’s now up to the winger to perform.
