Everton picked up a massive point against Spurs in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Saturday during a 2-2 draw.

Sean Dyche will have been delighted with his side as they picked up a huge point to move themselves out of the relegation zone on Saturday afternoon.

Despite a poor start, with Richarlison scoring very early on but then Jack Harrison pulled one back to make it 1-1.

The Brazilian then reestablished Spurs’ lead with what was admittedly a brilliant goal from outside the box.

But the tale didn’t end there with Jarrad Branthwaite re-writing the headlines in the game’s final minutes to level it up and hand Everton a 2-2 draw.

After the game, TNT pundit Joe Cole admitted his views on Everton currently.

Joe Cole sees Everton having no relegation concerns

Speaking post-match on TNT Sports, Cole admitted that he thinks Everton are looking brilliant after their latest display.

“They were brilliant today, and they’ve come up against a very, very good Tottenham side and they stuck at it, they dug in. Listen, how they play isn’t for everybody but it’s effective in what works and I think it suits this club down to the ground.

“When I think of the [Everton] teams that I’ve played against in my career, that’s what you were getting, that competitiveness, sticking together, sticking to the task, difficult to play against, all of them things they were today and more.”

Finally, Cole discussed what is making him confident that Everton will survive this season.

“When the chips are down at this club, the 10-point deduction, the crowd got behind them and you’re almost poking the bear. Like they’re in their place, this is wanna-be, they want a siege mentality and I can’t see them having any issues with relegation. If they perform like that, against what I consider the best Tottenham side I’ve seen for a very long time, they’ll be okay.”

Are Everton out of the relegation zone?

With the latest point picked up against Spurs at Goodison Park, Everton has now escaped the relegation zone overtaking Luton Town.

This is massive – but still level on points, there’s a lot of work for Everton to do but should be able to begin pulling away from the relegation zone.

If the performance against Spurs is anything to go by, Everton will be fine this season.
