Nothing is ever simple or easy at Everton, as the fanbase has been slowly and painfully taught across their varying years of support.
Whether it be a league campaign or a transfer, or even an ongoing takeover, it always feels like the Toffees are dragging their feet, leaving supporters constantly on edge.
Goodison Park can be a nervy place at the best of times, but with the off-pitch turmoil that has occurred financially in recent years, that anxiety is usually felt particularly intensely until the team scores to alleviate pressure.
However, this latest update is unlikely to be one that causes further unrest, but instead provoke a mere roll of the eyes for fans who have had to put up with the really underwhelming reign of Farhad Moshiri.
Farhad Moshiri to be sued by Alisher Usmanov
Last night proved to be the latest twist in the Toffees’ takeover tale, as news surfaced that Alisher Usmanov would be suing Moshiri, his former business partner.
The two have enjoyed a close-knit relationship in industry for years now, with the Russian’s ever-increasing involvement in Everton indicative of this.

USM was there to be seen all around the club, and it was even due to assume control of the naming rights for their Bramley-Moore Dock stadium too.
However, things have clearly turned sour, as The Athletic detailed: ‘Uzbek oligarch Alisher Usmanov has taken legal action against a company owned by Everton owner Farhad Moshiri, creating a complicating factor in the club’s already difficult takeover process.’
John Textor needs to hurry his Everton takeover up now
Realistically, John Textor now has a choice to make.
He can either continue down this plagued path on the way towards a takeover, thus assuming control of the club and all of its problems, or he needs to get out now.

His reassurance and seeming intent on maintaining this process lean towards the former, meaning if anything he must speed up his efforts more than anything.
After all, with each passing week, a new controversy seems to emerge.
Whether it be Moshiri-related or not, there are fresh concerns that need dealing with, and given the current indifference the Iranian feels towards Everton, nobody with any financial power is there to accomplish that goal.
Were Textor to be in control, these issues might go away a little quicker, and the club and its fans might finally be able to enjoy a brighter future.

However, the longer Textor ambles around, failing to strike a deal with Moshiri, the more issues he is creating for himself, as debts will surely rise given there is no one left to front the financial side of the club.
It’s a risky process, but if he is set to stick with the Toffees, then go all in now.
