Everton have approached Corinthians over a move for Wesley.
That’s according to Alexandre Praetzel of Diario de Torcedor, who has reported that the Toffees have offered €8 million (£6.9m) for the 18-year-old.
Wesley joined Corinthians’ academy in 2016 and signed his first professional contract in April 2022 – a week before making his senior debut.

The forward only turned 18 in March but has already become a regular for the Brazilian outfit, making 16 appearances and six starts in the Brasileiro Serie A – scoring once and providing an assist.
Taking to Twitter, the journalist wrote: “Everton, from England, made a proposal to businessman Giuliano Bertolucci for striker Wesley, from Corinthians. Proposal of € 8 million (around R$43 million).”
It is thought that Wesley can play across the front three, but is primarily a left winger.
Everton to invest in youth
Little is known about Wesley, but it is a promising sign that he is the second teenager Everton have been linked with today.
Following Youssef Chermiti‘s arrival in the summer, it is clear the Toffees are looking to invest in their youth and a cheap capture of Wesley could be a promising signing.

However, the teenager’s contract doesn’t expire until 2027 and it would be a surprise to see Corinthians let him go for only £6.9m – that is, if he has as much potential as hoped.
Brazil is well known for producing brilliant, creative players and Corinthians is one club that is familiar with developing some top stars. The likes of Willian, Socrates, Paulinho and Carlos Tevez have all spent key parts of their career with the club.
It will be interesting to see if Everton’s interest in Wesley progresses at all, while they will want to get any deal wrapped up quickly before other clubs come sniffing around.
