The good feeling is back at Everton as David Moyes has taken the reigns from Sean Dyche.

The Friedkin Group sacked Dyche last week after a run of one win in 11 games and quickly made the decision to bring Moyes back to the club for a second time.

The 61-year-old took his first press conference today and outlined a number of his short and long-term plans.

Moyes spoke about Everton’s style of play and also shed some light on the transfer plans this winter window.

On Everton’s official Instagram account, the Scotsman was officially unveiled and one of his former players Kevin Mirallas has just sent a one-word message.

Kevin Mirallas issues ‘finally’ message as Moyes returns to Everton

Moyes’ return to Everton has filled the whole city with a great deal of optimism and excitement over the future.

The Toffees have been bereft of those feelings for quite a few years now, ever since Carlo Ancelotti left for Real Madrid in 2021.

Former Everton players have been joining in on the wave of positivity on social media and now Kevin Mirallas has sent a one-word message following Moyes’ unveiling.

The Everton favourite commented ‘finally’ on the post above followed by a clapping and blue heart emoji, evincing his joy at the appointment.

Moyes appointment will reinvigorate Goodison Park

It became pretty evident that change was needed in the dugout as Everton fans had completely lost their faith in Dyche.

The former Burnley boss played a really pragmatic and defensive style of football, which saw the goals completely dry up.

So Moyes’ return is expected to reinvigorate Goodison Park and he believes the crowd will get them over the line this season in avoiding relegation.

It promises to be an electric atmosphere on Wednesday evening as Everton play host to Aston Villa.
