In his update on the Everton official website, Thelwell was discussing members of the squad who’d particularly impressed him for a variation of reasons.

While doing so, he found himself needing to praise the development of impressive Everton duo Youssef Chermiti and Lewis Dobbin.

He praised, “the ongoing progress we are seeing from Youssef Chermiti and Lewis Dobbin, who are now established members of the squad, further illustrates the benefit of a streamlined group, where every player has a key role to play during the campaign.”

The pair have probably in a way benefitted from Everton’s PSR woes which has meant they’re unable to sign a vast amount of players and instead, the youth are being used.

Thelwell also praises the impressive Branthwaite

It wasn’t just Chermiti and Dobbin who were praised, with the leader of these young talents, Branthwaite, also earning praise from the DOF.

He wrote, praising “the emergence of young talents such as the ever-impressive Jarrad Branthwaite”.

Utilising the youngsters at his disposal is definitely the right move from Dyche as it’s the way Everton can avoid further PSR sanctions.

With a second charge already levelled, the lack of spending won’t be changing anytime soon at Goodison Park.
