Carlo Ancelotti has decided against calling up Richarlison to Brazil’s World Cup squad.

Everton have shown an interest in Richarlison ahead of the summer, with Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League status still hanging in the balance.

A big summer window awaits Everton as the club require more additions to close the gap on the sides who have put in serious claims for Europe.

David Moyes requires more goal threats, but Richarlison may not be that man after Ancelotti’s verdict on the Spurs forward has been made clear.

Everton should take note of Carlo Ancelotti’s Richarlison decision

Everton’s season is ending on a whimper, with the Toffees having failed to win a game of football since March.

Although their defence has been a major issue, there has also been a clear lack of consistent goal threat in the side.

Richarlison is keen on a possible return to Everton this summer, but his 10 Premier League goals was not enough to convince Ancelotti as Brazil manager.

How do you feel about bringing Richarlison home in the summer? 🇧🇷

Make no mistake, Ancelotti is a big fan of Richarlison.

However, the forward’s injury issues have proven a real issue in north London this season.

Richarlison has still scored more goals than any Everton player this season in the Premier League, but there are serious concerns over his ability to remain fit.

Ancelotti had previously called Richarlison back up to the Brazil squad back in November, yet there is no phone call for the forward ahead of this summer’s World Cup.

Although the former Everton manager loves Richarlison, he has not allowed sentiment to cloud his judgement and this is something the Blues need to consider this summer.
