It was perhaps inevitable that Tyler Dibling’s future would be the subject of speculation this summer, but Everton should consider keeping the youngster.

It’s been claimed now that Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are looking at Dibling, who endured a difficult first season at Everton after his move from Southampton last summer.

How can Tyler Dibling actually turn things around at Everton? 🤷‍♂️

It's going to need some turnaround from the youngster 😫

Tyler Dibling failed to make himself a regular in the starting XI, and hardly featured at all in the second half of the season.

David Moyes challenged him to do more in training, but Dibling seemingly just couldn’t make an impression on the manager.

It’s possible he could leave after just one year.

But this move to Leipzig actually may not make sense for either Everton or Dibling himself.

While there is an argument to say that a loan move to Leipzig could be good for Dibling, because several other English youngsters have done well in the Bundesliga, it might not be something that suits Dibling.

It has been reported previously (via BBC Sport) that Dibling only had six weeks at Chelsea in 2022 before leaving after becoming homesick.

There was a situation to do with the Premier League’s five-step review process that prevented him from playing, and he had to train alone with a coach.

He was desperate to return to Southampton.

And even during his time at Everton so far, there have been whispers of the player being a little homesick, which may have been a factor in him struggling to break into the team.

It may well be that Dibling staying at Everton will ultimately be the best thing for him.

He’s been there a year now and will have that familiarity at the club.

There is a great environment at the club, as Tyrique George – one of Dibling’s best friends – just alluded to in his interview after becoming a permanent signing.

Moyes’ management of Dibling has seemed a little tough so far.

But certainly, if Jack Grealish doesn’t return, and Dwight McNeil also moves on, then that could pave the way for Dibling to finally make a success of his move.

It’ll be particularly interesting to see what happens with him, given how much he cost.

But many Evertonians want to see this talented young player succeed. With a new season about to start and maybe with a new mindset and a show of faith from the manager, Dibling could well do that.
