Speculation has been rife at Everton about the future of their manager, given all the upheaval the club has seen.

After all, this has been a period of remarkable uncertainty for the Toffees, yet one man has consistently guided them through it.

Everton manager Sean Dyche deserves so much credit, yet despite twice saving them from the drop, rumours over his shaky future remain ever-present.

Dan Friedkin‘s imminent takeover is not expected to assuage these rumours either.

Maurizio Sarri makes first Everton demand

Whilst claim over Everton’s interest in appointing Maurizio Sarri remain unconfirmed, fresh reports have since emerged to reestablish that notion, and actually take it a step further.

After all, Italian outlet InterLive has now claimed that the Italian, clearly already in contact with Dan Friedkin, has now told the American who he wants his first signing to be should he take the Goodison Park hot seat.

The report reads: ‘Fresh from a change of ownership, with the Friedkin family taking control of the club, Everton is ready to start a new course. The ongoing revolution could soon also foresee a change on the bench, with coach Sean Dyche shaky in his position as manager of the Toffees.

‘The first name on the list of Roma’s current owners is, Maurizio Sarri already known as an ‘enemy’ in many derbies of the Capital played during the Tuscan’s stay with Lazio. The Friedkins have promised the maximum financial commitment to raise the fortunes of the Merseyside club, they would be willing to satisfy Sarri in his market demands.

‘The first name on the list of the former Chelsea coach – excellent memory left in England by Sarri – is precisely that Zielinski who represented the midfielder of Napoli who impressed in Italy for at least two seasons.

‘Considering the subordinate role of the Pole in the Nerazzurri roster, it cannot be ruled out that Everton’s possible assault on the midfielder can be crowned with success already in the next January market.’

What would Piotr Zielinski offer Everton?

Despite only joining Inter Milan this summer, the highly-rated midfielder is already struggling to establish himself as a key starter at the San Siro.

So, the Toffees could once again seek to prey on another failure to get the best out of a top player, just as Napoli suffered with Jesper Lindstrom, to tempt Zielinski to Merseyside.

Lindstrom was told of how amazing Everton was prior to his move.

And, the Poland international would certainly offer plenty for Sarri and his potential new-look Everton side, injecting steel and creativity in abundance.

Last campaign, as a mainstay for Napoli, he recorded five goal contributions from the engine room.

However, more importantly, he paired that with 1.7 key passes and 3.1 ball recoveries per game, highlighting his adaptability, via Sofascore.

Although he may be 30, Zielinski might be the perfect player to usher in Sarri and Freidkin’s revolution at Everton.
