Everton shelled out around £30m on Thierno Barry’s signature in the summer transfer window.
After a prolific season with Basel and Villarreal, Everton decided to pay the big bucks to bring Thierno Barry to Merseyside.
David Moyes has only started the under-21 France international once in the Premier League so far, with Beto often the preferred option.
Barry hasn’t been able to take his chances from the bench, either, and now Michael Keane has come out and said what he needs to do that’d completely change his fortunes.

Michael Keane on Thierno Barry’s slow start
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Keane admitted that he’s seen glimpses of Barry’s quality in training and reckons that as soon as he gets the first goal, he’ll flourish.
“I think Thierno just needs that first goal, it would help him massively,” the Everton defender admitted.
“We’ve seen glimpses of what he’s about in training and what he can bring to the team with his power and his finishing, and he can also be very difficult to play against.
“He’s shown that in some of the Premier League games he’s played, but a goal will help him. Like any striker, when you’re not scoring, it can be tough, sometimes all you need is a tap-in, your fortunes can change and you feel more confident.
“I think he’s settled in well. He’s a good guy and although he’s pretty quiet and keeps himself to himself, he talks to the French-speaking lads and has got a lot of support from us within the group, and I’m sure he’ll come good.”
Thierno Barry should start vs West Ham United
Barry hasn’t managed to get into a rhythm yet, as Moyes has been chopping and changing his centre-forwards based on output.
“Just the goals I might just chop and change for no particular reason,” the Everton boss admitted earlier this month.
Clearly, that approach isn’t working for Barry, who has had to try and impact games in limited time off the bench.
Moyes should start the Frenchman against West Ham tomorrow, and even if he doesn’t score, keep him in for the next five or six games so he can form partnerships and an understanding with his teammates.
