It has been a while since Everton fans tasted success with a whole generation of fans yet to even see the club lift silverware.
Sean Dyche’s side have failed to show much to be overly optimistic about in the Premier League as they continue to battle it out at the wrong end of the table.
The Friedkin Group are close to completing their takeover at Everton with the process awaiting Premier League approval.
And the prospect of new ownership on Merseyside will offer Everton fans with hope of a new dawn which could bring success back to the club.

The last piece of silverware which the Toffees got their hands on was the 1994/95 FA Cup which saw Everton beat Manchester United 1-0.
From that cup-winning side, there has been a variety of post-football careers with one player even becoming a forklift driver.

Joe Parkinson became a forklift driver after leaving Everton
The 94/95 FA Cup final was decided by just one goal which was scored by striker Paul Rideout to claim the trophy.
It was a squad which included the likes of Duncan Ferguson and Andy Hinchcliffe who have gone on to have successful careers following retirement.
But there is one player in Joe Parkinson who has been on a slightly different path following his retirement in 1999.
After having his career cut short due to injuries, Parkinson opted for a more normal job in becoming a forklift driver for Smith Bateson packaging firm.
However, Parkinson has since returned to the world of football with his last role with Hartlepool United as their assistant manager just a few years ago.
Joe Parkinson has backed Sean Dyche as Everton manager
The FA Cup winner played 98 times for Everton and provided a return of four goals and three assists as a hard-tackling midfielder.
But he was part of a much different Toffees side to now with Dyche’s position under real pressure at Everton amid their struggles.
However, Parkinson backed Dyche earlier in the year to turn things around at Everton as he admitted he’s working under difficult circumstances.
“The circumstances are so difficult, I wouldn’t wish it on any manager,” Parkinson told A View From The Bullens podcast earlier this year.
“He is always positive, I like what he says, he’s just got to be the right man for us. We need to take stock of where we are right now.”
But some Everton fans have criticised Dyche heavily this season for some of the team selection decisions he has made.
