Everton picked up an emphatic 3-0 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League and Dwight McNeil’s attacking qualities were a huge influence and vital in the Toffees picking up the win.

Sean Dyche would have been over the moon with Everton as they managed to score three goals and also pick up the clean sheet.

Despite not picking up a goal or assist, the performance of Dwight McNeil was one of the best on the pitch and Sean Dyche will be hoping his good form continues.

The result means that Everton are now three points away from the relegation zone and it definitely has them feeling a bit more confident about the season.

Dwight McNeil stats show he is massively important for Everton

McNeil’s performance against Bournemouth shows that he is a huge attacking influence for Everton and he will no doubt feel unlucky that he didn’t pick up an assist in the match.

The winger managed the most key passes for the Toffees, as he made six during the match. This was four more than any Everton team mate.

McNeil also managed to create two big chances and complete two dribbles. He also stepped up defensively with three tackles. These stats saw him pick up an 8.60 rating from WhoScored and this was the best rating of the match.

The £20m signing having such a huge influence emphasises how important his attacking threat is to the Toffees staying in the Premier League.

If he keeps up such top creative performances like he managed against Bournemouth then he will have a fantastic season. McNeil wasn’t the only player on top form in this match, as winger Jack Harrison was on top form. His performance and goal saw him in the BBC Sport team of the week.

The issue for some at the club has been being consistent. Everton need to make sure they can play to such a high level every week if they want to stay in the division.
