Everton’s summer transfer window has been put on pause until next week but the need for improvements remains clear on Merseyside.

David Moyes has been able to enjoy some time away from the action at the Toffees having collected an OBE earlier this week.

However, there will be no fooling the 62-year-old as Everton are in need of some serious additions this summer.

Everton are expected to be financially backed this summer by the Friedkins who are finally going to be able to splash the cash.

The January transfer window saw the Blues hold back ahead of the summer where considerable changes are expected both on and off the pitch.

After landing back on Merseyside in January, Moyes made it clear he wanted a new winger to be signed for Everton.

Although he has been made to wait, it looks as if the Friedkins are ready to back his demand to add some attacking threat from out wide.

Everton plotting move for RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa

It is believed Everton are prioritising a new striker this summer, but Moyes will be wanting the service to create opportunities for that potential new number nine.

Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom have now departed for their parent clubs which has put a big emphasis on getting a new face through the door.

According to Caught Offside, ‘multiple sources’ are saying Everton are now one of the clubs who are showing an interest in the RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa.

But the Toffees are not alone in their admiration for the Norway international who is valued in the region of €45m (£38m).

The following Premier League clubs have also been credited with interest in the 20-year-old winger this summer:

Napoli are also claimed to be showing an interest following their blockbuster addition of Kevin De Bruyne.

Everton are also keen on Jack Grealish but there will be a big hurdle to overcome with the Englishman given the finances involved in any potential deal.

Although Nusa will come at a hefty transfer fee, he would not be on anywhere near the salary of the 29-year-old Manchester City star.

Nusa has already rejected a move to Tottenham

Tottenham made a move for Nusa last year but the Norwegian snubbed the Lilywhites through a concern over the game time on offer.

Nusa did opt to join Brentford, but complications with his medical saw a potential deal collapse.

With Everton showing an interest in Grealish, Nusa could provide the Toffees with a younger, more exciting option out wide.

The youngster will, of course, need to adapt to the Premier League, but he is a winger who could lift fans off their seats at the Hill Dickinson Stadium next season.

Having snubbed Spurs last year, Everton may feel they stand a good chance at signing him given he is so keen on securing regular minutes.
