During this season to date, Everton are the only club in the league not to be awarded a penalty and Sean Dyche still can’t believe it.
Everton have yet to be awarded a penalty in the Premier League this season. This is the case despite multiple events which honestly should’ve led to a penalty for the Toffees.
But it’s having an effect on Sean Dyche‘s side survival hopes and now he’s discussed what he just doesn’t understand how some decisions are made by VAR.
Here’s what Dyche has said about Everton’s lack of penalties this season…

Sean Dyche admits he’s been left baffled by some penalty decisions this season
Speaking with the press during his conference before this Saturday’s game against Manchester City, Dyche was once again discussing referees and some poor decisions his side have endured this season.
“Well, we must be up amongst them because we’ve certainly had enough calls for them, you know the one down at Tottenham pulling shirt I thought was one.
“The other day I thought was one and I’ve seen the ones that go against us and you know, I don’t know what kind of contact is contact anymore and I think a lot of a lot of people in the game kind of nervous around contacts in the box for the wrong reasons you know, some are given for someone touching their shoulder and their legs buckle.
“I’ve never worked that one out, but they get penalties and then Beto‘s clearly pushed off the ball the other day. No, no penalty so we’ll hope.”
Everton shockingly remain without a penalty, only team in the league
We reported last week that Everton were the only Premier League side to currently be without a penalty through the course of this season.
This is shocking considering the number of different claims Everton has had which should’ve ended in a spot kick being awarded.
Last weekend against Spurs, Beto was denied what many thought should have been a penalty.
Before this, the midweek game against Fulham also saw Everton denied a penalty which looked like a very controversial decision.
