Everton are back on the road after their thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester City.

Everton take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon, with a win needed to keep pace with the top seven in the Premier League.

David Moyes has a tricky decision to make with his team selection, as Merlin Rohl was superb off the wing against City.

Let us know your prediction for Sunday’s trip to Crystal Palace… 😬

Everton have not lost to Palace since 2022, but three points are now essential! 💪

However, this game probably suits a more natural wide player, so perhaps Dwight McNeil may come into the side.

Ahead of the clash, Paul Merson has given his score prediction.

Everton predicted to beat Crystal Palace

Writing in his Sportskeeda column, Merson has tipped Everton to beat a much-changed Crystal Palace side.

“There is no danger of relegation for Palace and with a game against Manchester City coming up on Wednesday, I’d be shocked if any of their main players featured on Sunday against Everton.

What changes would you make to our prediction of Moyes’ XI on Sunday? 😬

It would not surprise us to see Merlin Rohl dropped despite Monday's display 🫣

“To be fair, Everton have been extremely unlucky in their last few games. They lost to Liverpool and West Ham through stoppage-time goals, while Manchester City grabbed a point off them with the last kick of the ball on Monday!

“If they had taken at least four points from these three games, they would be sixth in the table now!”

Merson predicts: Crystal Palace 1-2 Everton

The last meeting between these two sides came back in October at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and Everton won that day.

Jack Grealish bundled in a stoppage-time winner to send the 52,000-seater stadium into complete raptures.

So, interestingly, the Toffees have the chance to do the double over Palace for the first time since the 2004/05 season.
