Everton signing Jack Grealish this summer has brought up plenty of debate around the footballing world.

Grealish is likely to have his future determined very soon, with the Man City winger seemingly forcing an exit.

Someone who is looking to seize upon his departure is David Moyes, with Everton looking to bring Grealish on loan.

A permanent deal feels unlikely with Grealish’s excessive £300,000-a-week wage, but there is every chance a loan move could be sorted.

Well, with this considered, Everton legend Peter Reid has spoken out, giving his thoughts on the 29-year-old arriving at Finch Farm.

Peter Reid’s thoughts on Jack Grealish joining Everton

The winger is looking like surplus to requirements under Pep Guardiola, as their relationship could be turning sour after Grealish had a social media outburst.

City signed Rayan Cherki, meaning the door is firmly open for Grealish to leave Manchester this summer.

It could be deemed a risk for Moyes to sign someone who has failed miserably with a £100m move.

But on the other hand, a player who was worth that much in the first place clearly has something hidden that the Scotsman can unlock at Everton.

Speaking to The Grumpy Old Men of Football Show, former midfielder Reid gave his verdict on a potential move for the winger.

“I think the kid’s got ability. The trophies he’s won at Man City, you can’t argue with it. But if he went to Everton, I think he’d enjoy playing for Everton. I think the Evertonians would like him,” Reid said.

“Something happened to him at Man City where he wasn’t playing. I’m not in the know there. But certainly Pep has bombed him out. But he’s got the ability to bounce back, the kid. And he’s still a young man.”

Everton’s front-three could be frightening next season with Grealish addition

The Friedkin Group can transform this Everton team this summer, as many strong candidates have been linked.

Moyes will want a team that strikes fear into opponents, as although James Tarkowski sees Europe for Everton, Moyes will just be looking to steady the ship.

By doing this, he needs a reliable front three, and along with Grealish, Thierno Barry could be added to Everton’s attack.

With this considered, Everton’s front-three next season is shaping up to be very exciting.

Combining Iliman Ndiaye’s pace, quick feet, and creativity, plus Barry’s excellent poaching skills and confidence in one-on-one situations, there is a recipe for success here.

Adding to this, if Moyes can get the best out of Grealish next season, there is no reason why the Toffees couldn’t make the push for a top-eight finish with this exhilarating attack.
