A player’s agent has claimed that Everton have already made contact over a deal for his client.
With Arnaut Danjuma reportedly set to cut his loan spell with Everton short, the Premier League outfit now look to be on the hunt for more attacking depth.
The Toffees currently rely on Jack Harrison and Dwight McNeil on either wing, but the latter’s recent injury could cause further issues for Sean Dyche’s team selection.
With a major lack of back-up options in the attacking areas, Everton are now reportedly looking at Paraguay winger Ramon Sosa.
According to his agent Daniel Campos, via journalist Wilson Gonzalez Bronce, Everton have already made contact over a potential move.
Ramon Sosa has spent his entire career in Argentina, first joining River Plate’s youth academy as a child.
The attacker enjoyed spells with Olimpia and Gimnasia, before joining current club Talleres de Cordoba in January 2023 for £1.78 million.
Sosa impressed in his first campaign with Talleres, netting eight goals and providing six assists as La T finished second in the Primera Division.
Sosa’s eye-catching season has seen him attract interest from Everton, with Campos addressing the potential move on ABC Cardinal’s show.
As per Bronce, Campos said: “I was in England, I spoke with the sports director of Everton. There is no formal offer yet. We will see if we can move forward.”
A report from Sport Witness claimed that the agent also said that LA Galaxy had submitted a £7.9m offer for the 24-year-old, while Talleres were demanding around 15 million dollars (£11.8m).
He said: “Not only was there interest (from the Los Angeles Galaxy) but there was a formal offer that Talleres de Córdoba rejected.
“The club (Talleres) is clear that it wants to have the player this coming semester and wants a higher offer. We support that.

“More or less (Talleres asks for 15 million dollars), what they say is that. It is a question of work and patience. We are waiting to see if there is also a team in the Premier that is interested in him.
“He is a player who is in clear sporting development, in his best moment. There is no rush on either side. It is inevitable that the player will be sold, now or in six months.”
Should Everton splash the cash on Sosa?
There seems to be more and more teams looking to South America for some cheap talent these days, and it could be a good idea for Everton.
However, it seems very unlikely that The Toffees have that kind of money to spend, never mind on a player who has never left Argentina and has scored 23 goals in 136 appearances in his senior career.
The Merseyside outfit are right to focus on a winger though, given that Arnaut Danjuma was their only real back-up option there.
They have also been heavily linked with Wilfried Gnonto again though, so it could be interesting to see how much money they are willing to spend this month.
