Relegation battles and languishing towards the bottom half of the table could soon be a thing of the past at Everton if the Friedkin Group realise their dream.
The new Everton owners want to get the club back into Europe and they’re prepared to spend the cash to do so.
David Moyes will be backed this summer and he could be given a major role in recruitment, too, as the American investors weigh up their next move once Kevin Thelwell leaves Goodison Park.
Everton are considering Leeds chief Nicky Hammond but Moyes wants two of his former West Ham United colleagues to assist him.
There’s been no final decision just yet but either way, the Toffees will likely be shopping in the Championship this summer as that’s Moyes’ desire.
The Everton boss wants to sign Sunderland’s Chris Rigg, who’s widely considered one of the best teenagers in the country.
And, Toffees supporters are all saying the same thing after hearing about the transfer rumour.

Everton fans so excited about Chris Rigg rumour
Sunderland’s teenage wonderkid Chris Rigg is attracting serious interest from not just Everton, but the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and West Ham United.
The 17-year-old midfielder is already one of the best players in the second tier, such is why Toffees supporters are so excited about the transfer links to him.
@jackph21 posted: “Moyes is fully back. Some players in the Championship and he’s one of them.”
“Lol please I beg,” @JordThomo added.
@HJJ92_ commented: “Yes please! Get Pickford on the phone.”
“Give me give me,” @bluetom_tom said.
“I wanted Sunderland to come up but might need to re-evaluate that now, viva Moyes’ EFL shopping Toffees,” @Adam_EFC_1878 posted.
“Moyes in the EFL is it, we’re incredibly back. Harrison Burrows for LB I am not against,” @Cal1878 said.
Everton will need to fork out £40m to sign Rigg
Whilst Everton are keen on landing Rigg, they won’t be forced into overpaying for the 2007-born.
Sunderland won’t sanction his sale unless they receive an offer of around £40m, which Moyes isn’t prepared to pay.
In fact, Everton value Rigg closer to the £10m mark, so clearly, there’s a significant gap in valuation between the two sides.
And, if fourth-placed Sunderland manage to gain promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs, Rigg would likely become totally unavailable.
